Bad Medicine is the state’s best known Rainbow Trout lake. Medicine Lake is located approximately fifty miles northeast of McCloud off of Highway 89 in the beautiful Modoc National Forest at an elevation of 6,700 feet. Each year hundreds of fishermen make the trek in quest of the rainbow. Hipcamp is working closely with the government to allow bookings here asap.
