Dillon Falls Road, located near Deschutes National Forest, Oregon is a 1.1 mile hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, road biking, trail running and walking trail with a top elevation of 4037 feet.

The trail to South Willow Falls is 4.2 miles one-way, with great views of the Dillon Reservoir and the entire Blue River Valley. Walk across the footbridge. Turn left onto Dillon Falls Rd / NF-41 and continue for 2.6 miles.

If your time is limited, the walk to Dillon Falls should be on the top of your list. Dogs are also able to use this trail. This trail continues for many miles passing by Dillon Falls and Lava Island Falls. There is horse trailer parking with access to the horse trail along the river. The area is so named because of the island formed in the middle of the Deschutes River by a lava flow.

Unlike nearby Benham Falls, Dillon Falls are not widely documented because they are hard to see.Trails provide a somewhat better view of the falls. Either someone else cleared, it’s on an alt line, or I missed it. If the trailhead parking lot is full, please do not park on town streets. Trails, however, provide much better views of Dillon Falls - enough so that a proper rating can be achieved. This area offers a great summer setting for picnicking and viewing Dillon Falls along the Deschutes River.
